Linvolnville Camp
New Construction
Lincolnville, Maine
This property originally had a 1940s-built seasonal cottage that was too far gone to repair. The setting is your typical Maine camp, tucked down a long dirt road—quiet and peaceful, with a pond boasting pristine water clarity.
Once we secured all the needed Shoreland permitting with the town, documentation was obtained to place the new and expanded cottage back where the original stood. Demolition of the old structure took just a couple of days with the help of brought-in equipment, and we were able to quickly get to work creating the new cottage.
The new cottage was expanded to include a covered porch facing the water, a back bedroom with a closet, a loft for sleeping, a bathroom with an integrated steam shower, and a combined great room/kitchen/dining space. The corner woodstove, custom-built by a local craftsman, was accented with a soapstone slab surround. The details the client had us incorporate into this new cottage truly turned it into a fun destination for the family to enjoy a weekend on the water.
